Musée Rodin

Though it’s not very large, Musée Rodin is one of the most charming museums in Paris. It’s housed in a beautiful building in the 7th arrondissement which was known as Hôtel Biron. As its name indicates, the museum has the largest collection of Rodin’s works which have been donated by the artist to the French State. We can enjoy works by Camille Claudel on site. Its garden is wonderful and can take even more time of your visit than the museum collection itself if the weather is good. It has drives lawns, flowers and a series of Rodin sculptures scattered through the space. It opens from 10 a.m. until 5:45 p.m. It closes on Mondays and remains open on Wednesdays until 8:45 p.m. Currently, a part of the museum is closed for renovations. Thus, only the garden and a Rodin exhibition are open to the public; Camille Claudel’s works are not visible.
