MASP

One of the most important museums of São Paulo, MASP is located in the current financial heart of the city on Paulista Avenue. It was designed by the architect Lina Bo Bardi and inaugurated in 1968, with the presence of Queen Elizabeth II. Besides its amazing architecture, the museum is internationally recognized for its collection of European art and for its assemblage of Brazilian art, prints and drawings, as well as smaller collections of African and Asian art, antiquities and decorative arts. It opens from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. from Tuesday to Sunday and it closes on Mondays. It’s open until 8 p.m. on Thursdays. The ticket price is R$15 for adults and the reduced rate for students is R$ 7.
