Mondrian London Shoreditch

Located in Shoreditch, The Curtain’s former LIDO underwent a transformation in the summer of 2021, reemerging as Mondrian London Shoreditch. Thankfully, the stunning rooftop pool and terrace have remained largely unchanged. Situated beside the modern rooftop restaurant and bar, Marlin’s On The Roof, the terrace emanates a Mediterranean-inspired vibe. The sparkling pool itself is a sight to behold, its heated deep blue waters providing breathtaking views of the East London skyline. Complete with wooden terraces, lush greenery, deck chairs, sun loungers, raffia bistro chairs, intricate wicker lampshades, and a pergola-style ceiling, the pool area offers a truly enchanting ambiance. While the rooftop restaurant and bar welcome all visitors, access to the rooftop pool is strictly reserved for guests of the Mondrian Shoreditch hotel and members of Blue Marlin Ibiza London.

Shoreditch House, the original Soho House rooftop pool, maintains its reputation as one of the best in town, especially for those seeking a vibrant atmosphere. White City House

Situated within the historic BBC Television Centre, White City House boasts a sprawling rooftop pool and terrace, meticulously designed to conjure an ambiance of exotic tranquility. The pool itself is generously proportioned, flanked by plush sun loungers and lush greenery, creating a serene oasis amidst the urban landscape. Spanning a considerable area, the terrace ensures ample space to avoid overcrowding, particularly on balmy summer days. Plus, with two rooftop bars on hand, the wait for a refreshing drink is minimal. While the terrace may lack the panoramic views typically associated with central London locations, its abundance of space allows for unrestricted movement and relaxation, making it a trade-off well worth considering.

Sky Pool at Embassy Gardens

Okay, this is not a hotel, but it definitely deserves to be on any list of rooftop pools in London! Debuting in May 2021 with much fanfare, the Sky Pool proudly holds the title of the world’s first “sky pool.” Suspended an awe-inspiring ten stories above ground between two buildings, this architectural marvel offers a swimming experience unlike any other. However, it’s not for the faint of heart, as each lap involves navigating from one building to the other. Yet, beyond its sheer novelty, the Sky Pool’s design serves a practical purpose, providing residents access to a range of amenities spread across the terraces, including a rooftop bar, spa, and roof garden. Unlike many other entries on this list, access to the Sky Pool is reserved exclusively for residents of the Embassy Garden’s Buildings, adding an air of exclusivity to this remarkable attraction.
