Although it isn’t part of the traditional tourist itineraries in Paris, Jardin des Plantes is definitely a visit that worth it in the springtime. Besides the beautiful landscape due to the flowers that arise from the month of April, the place has a Museum of Natural History and greenhouses that are opened for visitation. Shrubs that form mazes are a real fun for the children as well as the zoo. It is one of the oldest in the world and has about 1,100 animals, having a great concern to preserve endangered species. The garden is situated in the 5th arrondissement, Paris, on the left bank of the river Seine.
