Le Train Bleu

In past times, traveling by train was something extremely expensive and a real privilege associated with the richest segment of the population. As a result, a number of spaces dedicated to social gatherings for these people came up next or within rail stations in the past. Le Train Bleu is a little souvenir of that time at Gare de Lyon in Paris. With an extremely elaborate decoration in shades of gold, it impresses just after we went through the front door due to the magnificence of the place. Though it seems a very formal setting due to the décor of the restaurant, it became more casual over time because of the huge number of people passing through Gare de Lyon everyday. The movement of people ends up being large in place and, parallel to the restaurant area, there are a number of lounges with armchairs and sofas that look like a sophisticated Internet café. If you need to catch the train at Gare de Lyon someday, be sure to arrive much earlier to be able to spend some time on site. The lounges are very welcoming and you can just sit around with your computer and spend some time in this incredible venue while waiting for the train! For dining experiences or lunch on the restaurant,  they offer a traditional French cuisine menu with a rich selection of wines. At the bar, the menu includes some snacks and some dishes that are also present on the restaurant. The restaurant is open every day from 11:30 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. for lunch and from 7:00 p.m. to 10:45 p.m. for dinner. The bar is open from Monday to Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and on Sundays and holidays from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
