Christmas market at Place du Trocadéro

Though the days are shorter and the temperatures are extremely low in Europe during the winter, we can’t deny that this season of the year has a quite particular charm. Traveling to Europe during the winter is a great opportunity to visit the Christmas markets in the most beautiful cities of  the continent. They are a very traditional and popular shopping events that are held from November onwards. These markets are more common in Germany, but they have spread throughout Europe since the 1990s. So, we can also visit them in many other countries of Europe. Nowadays, these markets are an essential festive event during the Christmas season. In the last year, I had the opportunity to go the Christmas markets in Paris. They are held in many spots all over the capital, and are a great success with passers-by. The most important parisian Christmas markets are located in Place Saint-Germain-des-Prés , Place de la Nation on the Avenue des Champs-Elysées and in Place du Trocadéro. They have a really nice atmosphere and are a great place to pick up Christmas decorations, try delicious foods and buy arts & crafts. In my opinion, the Trocadéro Christmas market is one of the most special ones due to the amazing view of the Eiffel Tower soaring just across the Seine, especially at night when the Eiffel Tower sparkles while we’re strolling along the chalets or walking around the ice rink. It features about 100 chalets and is open daily from mid December to beginning of January.
