Oxford and Cambridge are two cities that occupy a very special place in my list of favorite places in the world. Both of them have a wonderful academic atmosphere surrounded by historical buildings. Eddie Redmayne won the award for best actor in a leading role at the 2015 Oscars for his portrayal of Stephen Hawking in The Theory of Everything yesterday. Besides Redmayne’s great performance, the movie tells a really beautiful story with great scenario. I loved the film and the fact that it was filmed in Cambridge made me love it even more. The film was shot on location using many of the University of Cambridge’s colleges (primarily St. John’s), as well as the cobbled streets of the city. So, the wonderful scenario of The Theory of Everything is a true inspiration to visit the lovely Cambridge.
